A neighborhood with classical buildings of Seville and innovative ones

The quarter of Regina-Encarnación was in the walled city of centre of the Seville. So it is a typical area of the old town, with buildings full of history and streets with great charm. At the same time, we find places like Plaza de la Encarnación, where the Metropol Parasol de la Encarnación is one of the images of Seville today.

On La Encarnación is the Palacio de las Dueñas, birthplace and first home of Antonio Machado and which belongs to the House of Alba. In the area is also the City Newspaper Library, a building from the 1930's which contains important documents in the history of Seville.

The Plaza de la Encarnación comes from the sixteenth century and now has the Metropol Parasol or Mushrooms of la Encarnación, a structure completed in 2011 which reflects the modernity of a city that does not lose its historical flavor.
